Opportunity Description

Volunteers required to visit care homes in Merton for older people and people with disabilities to engage with residents, their families and staff, giving them the opportunity to talk about their lives and experiences within the home.  To look at services and any initiatives or activities the home offers and write a report, following a visit, which is sent to the Care Home for comment and then circulated more widely to the LBM, the Care Quality Commission and Healthwatch.  You will give a voice to those that don’t have one by helping to ensure residents are safe and receiving good quality services. Gain knowledge about local services / activities in the area and pass on this information.  You will making new friends, working as part of a team and making links into the local community as well as make a positive difference to people’s lives.
