Opportunity Description

You will be part of Wimbledon Guild’s volunteer team helping to improve older people’s lives in Merton.

You will be working closely with the lead garden volunteer, and other volunteers.

Our garden is a community space improving the lives of people across Merton, managed by our fantastic volunteers and providing food to the HomeFood Café at Guild House, Wimbledon.

Our volunteers don't need any particular qualifications or experience, just a passion for helping others.

Any skills or interests you have may be useful so please let us know when you apply.

Previous gardening experience is helpful, but a desire to learn and get your hands dirty is great!

Practical Considerations

Flexibility, patience, and the ability to work in a team are essential, as are having a sense of humour and lots of enthusiasm.

Although the garden uses organic, permaculture ‘no dig’ methods, some work can be physical, and weather can be changable and unpredictable with outdoors work. Wearing suitable clothing is recommended.
