Home Visits Library

WHAT WE OFFER
We cater for all interests, tastes and ages, providing a wide range of material from the whole of the library service, including community languages, audiovisual material and a range of information, in particular books in large print and talking books.

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS
The service is free in Merton. One of our trained volunteers will visit you at home to find out what your reading tastes are and the library material you would like delivered. We will then visit you with a suitable selection every four weeks. At each visit you will have the chance to discuss your preferences and choices.

VOLUNTEER FOR HOME VISITS LIBRARY SERVICE
Do you have your own car and half a day a month to spare? We are always looking for Volunteer Drivers to join our busy Home Visits Library team and help us deliver books and other library materials to residents unable to get to their local library. Volunteers not only provide valuable library services to housebound clients, they often also stop for a cup of tea and a chat. Perhaps you would like to be a Volunteer Book Selector? Approximately once a month, you will choose books and other materials to be to be delivered to clients based on their reading tastes and preferences. Training and support are provided.
